Avery Elle Saturday

Hi Everyone! It's Saturday and I need to do a little catch up on my blog. I've been having so much fun with Letter Ballons over the last few weeks. Pinterest is full of inspiration!

My first card is an engagement card. I hand drew the string for the congrats banner and colored the letters with Distress Stain. Distress Stain is the easiest way to add quick color and I love to use it!

I stamped and die cut the cute couple from Swans. Do you see all the details the coordinating die cuts out??? I love that detail.

Next up I created another Letter Balloons card. This time I used Distress Paint and blended two colors together to create a fun gold look. I stamped, colored and die cut The Scoop ice cream truck and customized the colors and ice cream. This is another set where the die cuts blow me away. They cut out the window perfectly!

Also, did you notice??!?! I join the Butterfly Reflections team and I'm thrilled to share cards on their blog every Saturday. I can't wait to use more Avery Elle and other great products.

Finally, I created a card that features the Avery Elle Trees dies. I started by blending a rainbow of Distress Inks on white cardstock. Then I die cut the leaves several times. I inked up another piece of cardstock with brown, making it darker on the bottom and slowly fading it to the top. Then I die cut the tree trunk and splattered water on it. The bunny is from an older set, Woodland Creatures, and is some of my favorites. I also die cut the banner and stamped the sentiment from the Woodland Creatures set.

I loved creating these three cards and I can't wait to create more!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !
